5 Reasons Why I Believe in God and Christianity

I suppose for those who actually read my blog, it would be a good thing to at least lay out why I believe what I believe.  This isn’t meant to be extensive (for now at least) and it’s basically a general layout of why I believe Christianity is true and the only truth.  Now, I realize to most this sounds outrageously close minded, but for those pluralists out there who think so, I’d challenge you to examine these claims with your own God given faculties.

So, my first and most important reason is:

The Wheels on the Atheist go…

What if we were able to to know that God truly exists? How would that change your life? I think, for the atheist or agnostic, if God exists, it is of the utmost importance.  I think if any person who prides themselves in their intelligence, should at least examine the claims of the theist.  I had a friend who denied the existence of God, so he prided him self in being an atheist.  He enjoyed the title, as if he was part of something great.  When I asked him, “What if I told you it was much more plausible that God exists and that it can be demonstrated logically and scientifically?,” his response was, “Well, I doubt you can do that and besides, I don’t care whether or not there is a God.”  I was absolutely amazed!  Think about the cosmic difference it would make in one’s life if God exists! So, if you are one of those people who don’t know if there is a God or believe that He doesn’t exist, this article is for you.

Truth to an Atheist

Pontius Pilate, who could have been a skeptic, asked Jesus a question that many people ask today.  Imagine God right in front of you, what would you ask Him? I imagine many people will think of things to ask Him that remain a mystery to us in our world, but what is one of the most important things you could ask God? I think Pilate ask Him the right question.  Standing in front of Jesus, distressed because a riot was on the brink, and worrying about his own livelihood, Pilate asked Jesus one of the most significant questions one could ask, “WHAT IS TRUTH?”

I Almost Lost My Faith, But When I Read This…

deadseascrollsDid you ever question your faith? Have you ever sat down and asked yourself, “Does God really exist?”  Have you ever had experiences that have absolutely shaken your faith, so much that you don’t know what to think about God?  Well, you’re not alone.

Listen, if I wasn’t being serious here, I wouldn’t ask for your undivided attention while you read the words that follow.  I’m not joking when I say that there was a point in my life when I questioned God’s existence.  But when I read the most amazing book my hands have ever touched, it changed the way I think about God forever.

Before I tell you about what I read, let me share a story with you… (more…)

Standard Model is King

hst_galaxyIt has been proven without a doubt that the Standard Model of Cosmology is king over all subsequent models of cosmology that currently exist.  The simple fact that the Universe began to exist ex nihilo (out of nothing) has been proven without much resistance (apart from the adamant evolutionists who reject the idea of there being a God).  Since the Bible claimed, before such scientific evidence was attainable, that God created everything ex nihilo, it proves itself worthy of everyone’s immediate attention.

No doubt, the idea of an initial cosmological singularity could bother atheist’s, as believing that anything could come about ex nihilo is absurd.  To avoid such a confrontation with the immense amount of evidence, atheist’s tend to hold onto other cosmological models that have large theoretical issues so that they don’t have to face the facts.  The cosmological argument has been laboriously demonstrated scientifically, theoretically, and philosophically, so that any proponents who oppose such arguments are really standing up to an obvious giant of evidence.  The Bible once again is right!

Just some random thoughts for the night. I’ll probably elaborate more on this later. ;)

Why Faith Means Everything

servanthoodHave you ever had anyone tell you, “You just have to have faith!” ?  I’m sure you have.  Many of use hear this term without really taking into consideration what faith actually is.  Let me be frank, without faith Christianity cannot function.  As a Christian, if you do not have faith, you cannot be successful in your walk with Christ.

Exploring the Limits of Evolution

man laying downThe wonderful opportunity to be apart of the world in this age has proven to be both positive and negative.  With the advent of scientific knowledge being the “ultimate authority” by which humans determine what is true, our moral integrity as a society has degenerated rather rapidly.  Since the inception of Darwin’s theory, now 200 full years in the making, human beings have been seeking to destroy God with “science.”  This unseen force behind this otherwise visible movement, has undergone a metamorphosis that is infecting the human soul one classroom at a time.  Where in the past, scientists were typically devout Christians appreciating the creation around them and exploring their depths, scientist’s are now excluding the Creator of the creation they so tenderly love, stripping away the very hope that drives the human soul to endure.

What the Axiom?

Science MonkeyWhat in the world is that? Well, officially, an axiom is:

“A proposition that is assumed without proof for the sake of studying the consequences that follow from it.”

What does that have to do with anything? Well, like our little friend in the picture, we have to put on certain glasses to interpret the end result of something.  In other words, before we interpret let’s say, evidence for  creation, we have to put on our “axiom” glasses to interpret what we find.  This is especially important when regarding the Creationist and/or Intelligent Design worldview.  In my case (the creationists), my axiom is essentially the Bible; I personally believe it accurately accounts the history of the cosmos and the history of our earth.  With this “axiom” in mind, whatever evidence I find will be properly interpreted according to my “presupposition.”
